The Tuya sensor operates with a normally closed ( NC ) contact mechanism. When the magnet is in proximity,

the circuit remains closed and the system is in a state of rest. As soon as the magnet moves away , for example in the case of

opening a door or window , the circuit is interrupted, immediately activating the alarm .

This function guarantees accurate and timely control of any intrusions or unauthorized openings .

Installation Instructions for the Tuya Wired Magnetic Sensor

  • Preparation : Start by drilling a 10mm diameter installation hole in the desired location.
  • Magnet Placement : The magnet must be installed while the door, window or drawer is in the closed position. This ensures that the sensor works correctly when the opening is closed.
  • Installation of Components. Magnetic Part: Mount this part on the moving side of the door or window. Switch Part: Attach it to the adjacent fixed frame. Make sure the magnet and switch are perfectly aligned to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Avoid Magnetic Interference : Place the magnet away from sources of strong magnetic interference, such as transformers and large electric motors. This prevents malfunctions or detection errors.
