Frequently Asked Questions
To facilitate setup, keep the camera, smartphone, and WiFi router close to each other during pairing. The device supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi networks. Make sure you've entered the network name (SSID) and password correctly. If the connection fails, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds to reset the device, then repeat the pairing process.
The camera angle can be adjusted in two ways. For horizontal movement, open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app and swipe directly on the live screen or use the Direction icon to rotate the camera. For vertical adjustment, the tilt must be adjusted manually until the desired angle is achieved.
There are two Night Modes available in the app:
Smart Mode: The light turns on only when motion is detected at night. This mode is designed to reduce energy consumption.
D2D Mode Dusk to Dawn: Recommended mode, automatically turns the light on at dusk and off at dawn, or when the environment is dark or very cloudy.
You can still manually control the light via the app at any time.
You have two options for viewing recorded videos:
Local storage: By inserting a MicroSD card into the camera, videos are saved directly to the device.
Cloud Storage: By subscribing to the Tuya cloud service, you can access your recordings online.
Once the memory has been configured, you will be able to consult both the videos recorded on events and any continuous 24/7 recordings via the app.
First, make sure Tuya app notifications are enabled in your phone's settings. To manage motion or sound alerts, open the app and tap the alarm icons on the main functions screen to quickly enable or disable them. For more detailed management, go to the three-dot menu in the top right and select Detection Alarm Settings, where you can customize your notification preferences.
You can choose whether to share a single camera or all the cameras associated with your home.
To share a single camera, open the Tuya Smart app, go to the device page, tap the three-dot menu and select Share Device.
To share all your home cameras, go to the Management section, select Home Management, select the desired home, and then tap Add Member. From here, you can also manage each user's access permissions.
