60W or 96W 24V Matter over Thread LED Driver: Smart power supply and dimmer in one
The Matter over Thread LED driver is a 24V constant voltage power supply with a built-in smart dimmer: you connect it to the mains and to the single-color LED strip, without a separate controller. It comes in two power ratings, 60W and 96W , to choose based on the strip's power consumption. It accepts input voltages from 100 to 277V, so it works on a 230V Italian mains supply. It uses Matter 1.4 and can be controlled by Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and SmartThings via a hub with a Thread Border Router. T-PWM regulation starts at 0.0001 % e is flicker-free, and with the NFC Lighting app, you can set the parameters by simply holding your phone close to it. It has free wires with standard American colors and must be grounded. The strip and Matter hub are purchased separately.
Matter: Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings in one driver
The driver speaks Matter , the standard shared by major ecosystems: you add it to Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, or Samsung SmartThings and control it from the app you already have on your phone, even with your voice. To turn the lights on and off, and dim them, you don't need to install a manufacturer app. You do, however, need a Matter hub with a Thread Border Router , because the driver doesn't use Wi-Fi: for example, a HomePod mini, second-generation Nest Hub, fourth-generation Echo, or SmartThings Station are suitable. The manufacturer recommends keeping to 40 Matter devices per hub and 10 devices per group.
Threads and IPv6: Local control even when the Internet is down
The driver uses Thread , a low-power IPv6-based radio network designed for the connected home. Commands pass from the hub to the driver while remaining within your network: the manufacturer claims local control , which continues to function even if your internet connection drops, benefiting privacy and reliability. Thread is not Wi-Fi: the driver doesn't appear among the router's devices and doesn't burden your home network. Control from outside the home and automations depend on the platform you choose, which generally requires a hub that's always on and connected.
T-PWM dimming down to 0.0001% for ultra-low and stable light
LTECH's T-PWM technology adjusts brightness with a depth of 1:1,000,000 : it starts from 0.0001% and reaches 100% continuously. It's useful when you want a subtle light, such as a night light or a bedroom light, without the strip flickering or turning off suddenly. The depth is factory-set to 0.01 % e can be changed with NFC. The PWM frequency ranges from 300 to 22,000 Hz and the switch-on is gradual, thanks to the integrated soft start and fade, for a more comfortable transition from dark to light.
Pairing with QR code or by holding iPhone close to the driver
To add the driver, open your platform's app and scan the QR code printed on the label, or enter the pairing code: it works with any Matter-compatible app. With an iPhone 16 or later, simply hold your phone close to the NFC area of the driver and pairing will begin automatically. Once this is done, turn the device on and off, and adjust the brightness from the device's settings. To restore the driver to factory settings, power cycle six times in a row, leaving it off for 15 seconds and on for 2 seconds between each cycle: the light will flash five times to confirm.
NFC Lighting App: Driver parameters are set from your phone
LTECH's NFC Lighting app for Android and iPhone can be downloaded from the QR code in the manual and is used in three steps. Tap "Read/Write LED driver" and hold your phone close to the driver's NFC area to read the parameters; open "Parameter settings" and edit them; tap "Write" and hold your phone close to save them. Set the dimming fade time , soft start time, dimming depth, brightness range, power-on state, and PWM frequency. The app is only for settings; you control the light from your Matter ecosystem app. You need an NFC-enabled Android phone or an iPhone 8 or later with iOS 13.
Batch writing on multiple drivers and OTA updates Matter
With multiple drivers, the NFC Lighting app lets you choose which parameters to write and copies them to each one by tapping your phone: a daisy-chain configuration useful in systems with many identical light points. The firmware updates with standard Matter OTA updates , through the hub. For power, check the strip's consumption: the 5-meter COB 480 strip , listed at 50 W, is the 60 W model; the 5-meter COB 528 strip , listed at 75 W, requires 96 W. To connect it, there is a 2-pin strip-to-power connector . If you already have a 24 V power supply, check out the Matter over Thread controller .
Flicker-free light and self-resetting protections
The regulation is flicker-free according to the IEEE 1789 standard. The driver protects itself and restarts automatically: it limits the power above 102% of the load, goes into protection in the event of a short circuit, turns off the output if the open-circuit voltage exceeds 28 V and reduces or cuts off current if the board exceeds 110 °C. The case is metal and the driver is class I : the yellow-green wire must always be connected to ground. At the input, black is the phase and white is the neutral, according to the American colors; at the output, red is LED+ and black LED−. The degree of protection is IP20 : only dry interiors, between -20 and 50 °C.
Technical data sheet for the 60W and 96W constant voltage models
Yes. You need a Matter hub with a Thread Border Router, such as the HomePod mini, 2nd-generation Nest Hub, 4th-generation Echo, or SmartThings Station. The driver does not connect to Wi-Fi.
Constant voltage: The output is fixed at 24V. This is suitable for 24V LED strips; it is not suitable for LEDs that require a constant current driver, such as many spotlights and COB modules.
It depends on the total consumption of the strip: the 60 W delivers up to 2.5 A, the 96 W up to 4 A. Multiply the watts per meter of the strip by the meters you connect and stay under the power of the driver.
At the input, black goes to phase, white to neutral, and yellow-green to ground. At the output, red goes to the positive terminal of the strip and black to negative. The colors follow the American standard: input and output are on opposite ends of the driver; do not swap the two black wires. Disconnect the power before connecting.
Set the driver's parameters with LTECH's NFC Lighting app, for Android with NFC and iPhone 8 or later with iOS 13: fade times, dimming depth, brightness range, power-on state, and PWM frequency. With an iPhone 16 or later, it also serves for quick pairing.
The protection rating is IP20: it must be installed in dry interiors, between -20 and 50°C. The manufacturer permits it outdoors only in a waterproof enclosure.
