It does not require a HUB for operation because it connects directly to the home WiFi.

You can configure Shelly Dimmer 2 to turn on or off automatically at sunrise or sunset and you can create custom daily schedules.

This Shelly also comes with a UART port which allows you, via a USB adapter, to install third party firmware.
