Shelly I3 Monitors the status of physical switches and buttons

It allows you to create different scenes with the Shelly devices installed in your home controlled by HTTP, MQTT, supported by a stable Wifi network; compatible,

like other shelly products, with voice commands Amazon Alexa , Google Home .

Shelly i3 does not have a relay but is small enough to be installed almost anywhere and display the status of 3 inputs.

It connects behind wall switches and can control other Shelly relays, sensors or devices controlled by HTTP, MQTT or CoAP.

The opportunities are endless with discrete controls on your home network or scenes in the cloud.

Shelly i3 supports up to 8 different actions per button.

They can control several devices directly or via cloud scenes. One press can turn on / off the light, and two presses can turn on / off the fan, long press the switch button to trigger a whole scene.

The possibilities are limitless.

Shelly i3 is a sensor capable of detecting the states coming from switches and / or mechanical buttons connected to it, then conveying them on the logical level in home automation - the 'i ”of i3 stands, in fact, for“ input ”.

This unusual feature is particularly convenient for overturning the functionality of wall switches / buttons without the need to physically vary the electrical systems.

Let's imagine that we have a switch that is no longer used but is present on the wall; Let's also assume that there are several light points available in the house that are home-automation in various ways: the application of Shelly i3 on that wall switch allows, even rather quickly, to configure an automatism which, triggered by the manual use of the switch (intercepted by i3 and logically channeled into home automation) allows you to control those different light points, even if not physically connected to them.

In practice, Shelly i3 is a sort of logical "bridge" that decouples the physical switches / buttons from the various home automation functions present in the house.
