One LED Matter controller for five types of strips: app, voice and remote control
The Tuya Controller LED 5-in-1 is a Matter over Wi-Fi control unit: control the LED strip from your phone, by voice or from the RF remote control. With the Mode button, choose between five output modes: single color, CCT variable white, RGB, RGBW and RGB+CCT . It connects to your home router and, by scanning the QR code , appears in Apple Home , Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings: no hub in between. In the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app you will find colors, whites, eight scenes, timers and music mode. The 2.4 GHz RF radio pairs up to twelve remote controls and wall panels, so you can turn on the light even without Wi-Fi. Power supply from 12 to 48 V , up to 6 A per channel and 15 A in total: it is suitable for the kitchen shelf as well as for the shop. Adjust the PWM up to 16 kHz, without flickering on video. The LED strip and power supply are purchased separately.
One controller, all ecosystems: Matter brings it to Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings
Matter is the common language of the smart home: a certified device enters all the apps that speak it. This controller is Matter certified over Wi-Fi . You add it to Apple Home , Google Home, Amazon Alexa, or SmartThings by scanning the QR code printed on the label, without a hub or bridge. Voice commands also come from there: tell Siri to turn off the strip, ask Alexa to set warm white, or ask Google Assistant to set blue in the bedroom. You can use it in multiple apps at the same time—for example, Apple Home for you and Google Home for your family—alongside Matter products from other brands.
Compatible with all 12-48V PWM LED strips
It works with any constant voltage LED strip , the one with the abbreviation PWM, from 12 V to 48 V. Press the Mode button and choose the mode of the strip you are connecting: single color , CCT, RGB, RGBW or RGB+CCT, with a colored light that tells you which one is active. Each channel supports up to 6 A , with 15 A in total, therefore even the most powerful RGB+CCT strips , those in kitchens and shops. With the Frequency button you increase the PWM up to 16 kHz: no flickering in the videos. Digital pixel strips, those with the SPI signal, are not suitable: an SPI controller is required.
With the Tuya Smart app you can control it from anywhere: colors, whites, scenes and timers even when you are away from home
From the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app, the controller appears as a Matter LED Controller, with four tabs: Color , White, Scenes, and Music. Choose the hue and brightness, adjust the white from warm to cool, and call up a scene. You're still out and about, but the house is already lit: the controls are sent via the Tuya cloud , so they work from anywhere with an internet connection. From the same app, you can set the on and off timer , share with family members, and automate other Tuya devices. The router must be a 2.4 GHz network; a 5 GHz network won't work.
Sync to music: LED strip follows the beat from your phone's microphone, in nine styles
In the Music tab of the app, choose from nine styles, from Classical to Jazz, from Popular to Rock. The strip changes color and intensity based on what the phone's microphone detects. Place your phone near the speaker, activate the mode, and the party begins. This is a function of the Tuya app, not the controller: your phone listens and sends commands via Wi-Fi. It works with color, RGB, RGBW, and RGB+CCT strips; on a single-color or CCT strip, the rhythm is only visible as a change in brightness.
Ready-made scenes and status memory: the right light at a touch, even after a blackout
The app's Scenes tab features eight pre-defined moods: Good Night for the evening, Reading and Working for work, and Leisure, Ocean, Sunflower, Grassland, and Dazzling for color. You can recall them with a tap or add them to an automation. From the same app, you can decide what happens when the power comes back on: with DND mode, enabled by default, the strip stays off after a blackout and doesn't wake you up at night. Alternatively, it restarts as it was , or with the setting you choose.
Pairing in three steps with the QR code: control the lights at home and in the office from the Tuya app
Connect the controller to the power supply, open the Tuya Smart app, tap + , and scan the QR code on the label: the strip appears in the app. If the light doesn't flash, press and hold Link for three seconds and try again. The same QR code is used for Apple Home, Google Home, and Alexa, because it's the Matter code. A controller in the office and one at home are in the same account: the same screen, from anywhere. Sharing lets you even give control to family members or colleagues, without having to share the password.
Group control and RF remote control up to 30 meters: multiple strips, one command, even without Wi-Fi
In the app, you can create a group with the controllers for a specific area, such as the living room, porch, and bedroom: one touch and they all turn on at once. In addition to Wi-Fi, there's a 2.4 GHz RF radio for remote controls and wall panels from the same series, with a range of 30 meters : you can pair up to twelve of them and turn on the lights even when the router is off. Each controller repeats the signal to the next, so the range increases with the number of controllers. From the remote, you can also call up 18 dynamic effects , synchronized between the strips in the group. Remote controls and panels are purchased separately.
Hidden installation, up to 15 A total and connection diagrams for each type of strip
The controller sits between the power supply and the strip: two screw terminals for the input, six for the output, with the polarity printed on the label. It can handle up to 15 A in total, that is, 180 W at 12 V and 360 W at 24 V. You can hide it in the false ceiling or behind the shelf. The diagrams show which terminals to use: the single-color strip has one channel, the CCT two, the RGB three, the RGBW four, and the RGB+CCT all five. In short: 12-48 V input, 6 A per channel, 124 × 38 × 23 mm , IP20, -10 to 40 °C. Manual attached at the bottom of the board; manufacturer's page here .
No. The controller is Matter over Wi-Fi: it connects directly to your 2.4GHz router and appears in the Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, and SmartThings apps, as well as Tuya Smart.
Up to 6 A per channel and 15 A in total: approximately 180 W at 12 V and 360 W at 24 V. At 8 kHz the current per channel drops to 5 A, at 16 kHz to 4 A.
The manufacturer's sources don't indicate this, and the packaging photo shows the controller and manual. Remote controls and 2.4 GHz RF panels are purchased separately.
The 2.4 GHz RF remote controls and panels of the same series, up to 12 per controller, have a range of 30 meters. The manufacturer lists over twenty of them, such as K4, K2, and PUSH3.
Yes, with the RF remote control and, on a local network, with Apple Home. Automations and away-from-home controls from the Tuya app pass through the cloud.
Yes. With Matter, you add it to the Home app with the QR code and control it with Siri, without a bridge. For control from away from home, you need a HomePod or Apple TV as a home hub.
With DND mode enabled by default, the strip stays off when the power returns. From the app, you can choose whether it restarts as it was or with your own settings.
