What is an addressable LED strip?

An addressable LED strip represents a significant evolution in the world of lighting, offering a level of

unprecedented control. Contrary to traditional LED strips, which show a single color for the entire

length, addressable strips allow you to individually manage each individual LED or group of LEDs. This happens

thanks to the presence of a dedicated integrated circuit (IC) which allows you to adjust both the color and brightness of each

LED separately. This granular control capability opens the door to a wide range of creative applications ,

allowing you to create personalized and dynamic lighting effects that adapt to the user's needs and preferences.

Features and Functionality:

• The WS2818 Programmable RGB LED Strip is a 3-channel addressable strip controlled by dedicated LED controllers.
• 3 LEDs in series like a pixel. Each pixel is individually addressable. Built-in 3 RGB LEDs per segment can be cut for 3 LEDs.
• The gray levels of each pixel are 256 levels and the refresh rate reaches 2 KHz/s.
• Continuous transmission with single breakpoint, each single failure neither affects other pixels nor the overall display effect and waveform distortion.
• LED brightness: red 600 mcd, green 500 mcd, blue 150 mcd.
• The signal is a dual-wire cascaded serial interface transmitted across two single lines. These signals are able to work together without interaction.
• The WS2818 LED pixel light strip includes an intelligent digital data port and a signal reshaping amplification drive circuit.
• It also includes a precision internal oscillator and a programmable constant current control part with 12V voltage which achieves a highly consistent color effect.
• WS2818 adopts automatic reshaping transmission technology, so that cascading numbers of pixels are not limited to the signal.
