Infrared Detection Technology

The heart of the detector is made up of infrared diodes positioned inside a dark chamber that filters external light,

allowing only smoke to enter. In the absence of smoke, the diodes detect only a minimal amount of infrared light.

When smoke enters the chamber, it intercepts and reflects infrared light towards the diodes, increasing its detected intensity.

This progressive increase in light within the chamber allows the detector to activate

the alarm , via a 2 or 4 wire wire connection . when the smoke reaches a critical density.

Visual Indication and Alarm Signaling

To ensure continuous and reliable monitoring , the detector is equipped with two LEDs : one to indicate regular operation

and the other to signal the alarm state. The normal operation LED flashes periodically to confirm that the

detector is operational, while the alarm LED remains solid when it detects smoke at critical levels.

INSTALLATION

1. Connect the power line and signal line with the base plate (installation "1" is the positive power supply; 2" is the negative power supply; "3.4" is normally open/normally closed.
2. Select the appropriate location (normally mounted in the center of the ceiling), attach the mounting base, then insert the detector into the base and turn it.
3. Use the screws to secure the installation base to the ceiling.
4. Align the locating protrusion on the bottom of the detector with the locating groove of the installation base and rotate it clockwise to install the detector.
