Electronic cylinder Welock PCB10KEY73: open the door with code, RFID card, app, or key, without changing the lock
The Welock PCB10KEY73 is an electronic euro profile cylinder that takes the place of the one you already have: the door lock stays the same, only the cylinder changes. On the outside there's a knob with a keypad and RFID card reader, on the inside a knob to open by hand. Open with the code, with one of the 3 included cards, with the WE.LOCK app via Bluetooth, or with the 2 mechanical emergency keys. It's suitable for doors from 50 to 100 mm thick, including armored ones. It runs on 3 AAA batteries, which are not included. Remote opening and Alexa support require the Welock WiFi Box 3, sold separately.
RFID Card Code, Bluetooth App, and Mechanical Key in a Single Cylinder
The keypad lights up when you touch it: you type the code and the outer knob turns the cylinder, so you turn it and open. Alternatively, you bring an RFID card close: the package includes 3, and more can be added from the menu, such as the RFID card Welock. With your smartphone you open from the app WE.LOCK via Bluetooth, while standing close to the door. The mechanical key remains as a backup, for example if the batteries run completely flat. As soon as you receive the lock, it's a good idea to change the default administrator code "123456" and register your own cards: the manual warns that, as long as it's in factory settings, any RFID card can open it.
WE.LOCK App: Users, Digital Keys and Access History
After pairing the lock with the WE.LOCK app via Bluetooth, you can add and remove users, create codes, and share digital keys with family members or guests from your phone. The app also keeps an access history, so you know when someone has come in. During pairing, the phone's time is transmitted to the lock: this is needed so that temporary codes work properly, so the time shown on the lock's display must match the one on your phone. Without the WiFi Box 3, the app only communicates via Bluetooth, so you need to be close to the door.
Emergency Key, Automatic Lock and AAA Batteries
If the batteries run out or the keypad doesn't respond, open it with the mechanical key: you'll find 2 in the package. The lock warns you in advance: below 20% charge, upon reactivation it beeps three times and shows "Battery Low" on the screen. It runs on 3 AAA batteries to be purchased separately, with a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 10-12 months. The auto-lock closes the door again after a time you set from 5 to 14 seconds; the menu also offers vacation mode and silent mode. The keypad screen shows messages in Italian; from the menu you can also switch to English, German, or Chinese.
Installation in Place of the Old European Cylinder, Without Drilling the Door
The PCB10KEY73 is installed in place of the existing Euro profile cylinder, without drilling the door. The cylinder body measures 30 mm on the inner side and 40 mm on the outer side, and the shaft adjusts up to 65 mm on the inside and 50 mm on the outside: this is why it covers doors from 50 to 100 mm thick. Before ordering, measure the thickness of your door and check that the lock hole is Euro profile. If your door is thicker, from 95 to 130 mm, check out the Welock PCB10KEY72, designed for those thicknesses.
Installation in Just a Few Minutes with a Screwdriver and Allen Wrench
For installation, all you need is a screwdriver and the included Allen wrench. Remove the fixing screw and pull out the old cylinder; then disassemble the knobs of the PCB10KEY73, align the cam, insert the cylinder into the door, and secure it with the lock screw. Finally, reattach the outer knob and the inner one, and secure the back knob screw. The manual illustrates the eight steps with diagrams; installation videos can be found by scanning the QR code on the lock.
Remote Opening and with Amazon Alexa via Welock WiFi Box 3
To open the door when you're not at home, or to ask Amazon Alexa to unlock it, you need the Welock WiFi Box 3, which connects the lock to the Wi-Fi network. The box is sold separately: without it, the lock still works with code, cards, keys and app via Bluetooth. It is not compatible with Google Home or Apple Home. The brand's other locks and cylinders are in the smart locks category.

From the app you generate 10-digit temporary codes with time-limited validity, to give to guests, cleaning staff or short-term rental tenants, without handing over keys. To protect the code from onlookers, you can type random digits before and after the correct one: the lock will still recognize the right sequence. After 5 wrong codes in a row, or 5 unregistered cards, the lock locks itself for 3 minutes. When it's locked, the outer knob spins freely through 360°: this is normal and prevents the mechanism from breaking if someone tries to force it.

Will it work for my door?
Yes, if the cylinder has a European profile and the door thickness is between 50 and 100 mm, even armored doors. It is not suitable for English oval cylinders or Swiss round cylinders. For doors from 95 to 130 mm there is the Welock PCB10KEY72.
Are the batteries included?
No. It requires 3 AAA batteries, to be purchased separately. The manufacturer states a lifespan of 10-12 months.
What happens if the batteries run out?
Below 20% the lock warns with three beeps and the message "Battery Low." If the batteries run out completely, open with the included mechanical key and replace them.
