Detection distance 0.05–2.5 m: perfect for close installations as well as indoor corridors/walkways.
Auto-set distance at power-on: if the front area is clear it automatically sets 2.5 m; if there is an obstacle (e.g., a wall) it sets the distance up to the obstacle.
Motion sensor - laser detection and digital output for LED controller
If you are creating an automatic lighting system (stairs, corridors, passages, step lights or decorative wall lights), the EL-C is the sensor head that really makes the difference: it works with 5V input/output , uses laser technology for more precise and directional detection, and sends a HIGH/LOW (TTL) digital output to the LED controller/control unit that manages strips and light points. It is compact ( 32x32x17.5 mm ), connects with a 3-wire connector (+5V, Signal, GND) and allows you to customize the system's response thanks to the adjustable distance 0.05–2.5 m (automatic on switch-on or via button) and the delay times 2/5/10/30/60 s . In practice: when you approach or cross the beam, the control unit receives the command and activates the lights in a clean and controlled way. It works with many commercially available controllers/control units compatible with a 5V digital input and is also perfect with our Tuya smart stairwell controllers . If you want a tidy, reliable, and "professional" installation, this is the right sensor: complete your automatic lighting system.
Automatic switch-on for lights
This laser motion sensor is ideal when you need precise, directional lighting: as soon as a person (or object) passes in front of the sensor head, the sensor sends a digital signal to the LED controller/control unit to turn the light on. It's perfect for creating subtle, dramatic passage lights (such as floor step lights, light beams on walls/wood paneling, or interior lighting for furniture), avoiding unnecessary switching thanks to the narrow detection angle.
SET button: detection setting
The SET button allows you to set the sensor's detection distance in the range 0.05–2.5 m and to choose between Automatic and Manual mode. In AUTO (factory mode) the distance is measured and set every time the power is turned on and is not stored: if there are no obstacles in front of the sensor, it sets up to 2.5 m , while if it detects an obstacle (e.g. a wall) it sets the distance up to the obstacle. Within 60 seconds of turning on you can also press SET to take a temporary quick measurement (not saved). In MANUAL mode the distance is saved : after turning on, double-click SET to enter manual mode (the output LED flashes 3 times ), then press briefly to complete the measurement (about 2 seconds ) and store it (LED flashes 1 time); a double-click again returns to AUTO mode (LED flashes 2 times ). During the measurement, avoid standing in front of the sensor or covering its front part.
Compatibility with control units/controllers
This sensor does not work alone : to turn on the lights it must be connected to a LED control unit/controller , and it is compatible with many control units on the market that manage 5V digital (TTL) sensor inputs, as well as with our Tuya smart controllers for stair lighting . The connection is made via a 3-pin (3-wire) plug-in connector : one wire carries the +5V DC power supply, one is the signal (S) that sends a high/low level to the control unit when it detects passage, and the last is the ground/negative (GND/–) ; in practice, when the sensor detects a person or object in front of it, it sends the command to the control unit which activates the connected LED strip or lighting.
No. The EL-C is a sensor head: to turn on the lights it must be connected to a compatible LED control unit/controller that receives the signal and manages the lighting.
It is compatible with many commercial control units that support a 5V digital sensor input (TTL) and with our Tuya smart controllers for staircase lighting.
It has a 3-wire (3-pin) connector: +5V, Signal (S), and GND/–. The signal is digital: when it detects, it sends a high level to the controller (and a low level when it does not detect).
The detection distance is adjustable from 0.05m to 2.5m with a narrow angle of about ±10°, so it is very directional (great for passages, corridors and stairs).
Yes. You can select one of the delay times: 2 / 5 / 10 / 30 / 60 seconds, so the light stays on for the most comfortable amount of time after passing through.
