Sonoff SNZB-09P: 105dB Zigbee Indoor Siren with Red Light and Battery Backup
The Sonoff SNZB-09P Zigbee siren from the SenseGuard series sounds an alarm up to 105 dB , loud enough to cover an entire floor of your home, and turns on a red light ring that's visible even in the dark. Choose whether to use just the sound, just the light, or both, from 10 built-in tones and four volume levels. It's powered by a 5V USB-C port and has a 600 mAh backup battery : in the event of a power outage, it stays connected and ready to sound. With Sonoff sensors, it becomes the voice of your system: it sounds when a door opens, when a sensor detects a water leak, or when someone presses an emergency button. To work, you need a Sonoff Zigbee hub or a Zigbee dongle with Home Assistant.
105 dB alarm that covers an entire floor of the house
When the alarm goes off, the SNZB-09P reaches a volume of 105 dB , allowing the sound to travel through the rooms and cover an entire floor. Such a high level has two effects: anyone trying to break in realizes they've been discovered, and anyone else in the house notices immediately, even if they're sleeping. The volume doesn't always have to be set to maximum. In the app, you can choose between four levels —approximately 75, 82, 93, and 105 dB measured at 1 meter—or silent mode. Low volume is good for a kitchen reminder, while high volume is good for a burglar alarm. Place it in a central location, like the hallway or living room, so the sound reaches all rooms more evenly.
Volume, light, duration and tone are set from the eWeLink app
All the siren settings are in its own tab in the eWeLink app. Turn the alarm sound and light on or off separately, adjust the volume , set the alarm duration , and choose the tone . From the same screen, you can sound the siren with the Alarm button and view the event history. The app also displays the tamper-proof status: if someone tampers with the siren, you'll receive an alert. Compared to a standard siren, as the Sonoff comparison table shows, you have more volume levels, including silent mode, and a brighter light. The same settings are found in the scenes, where you decide how the siren should react to each sensor.
10 alarm tones to match each Sonoff sensor
The siren has 10 built-in tones : six sirens (Classic, Steady, Rising, Warning, Rapid, and Emergency) and four more discreet tones (Chirp, Hi-Lo, Intermittent, and Pulse). By pairing a different tone with each sensor, you can understand what happened without looking at your phone. For example, the Sonoff SNZB-03PR2 motion sensor can play the Chirp tone when someone passes by in the living room, the SNZB-05P water leak sensor can play the Emergency siren, and the Sonoff CAM-B1P camera can play the Warning siren. The tones are the built-in ones only: the siren does not play custom sounds or melodies, so it is not a replacement for a doorbell with a ringtone of your choice.
On the front, there's a red light ring that flashes along with the alarm. It's useful when the sound alone isn't enough: in a dark room, with the TV on, or for someone with hearing loss, the red light immediately lets you know something's wrong. You can also use just the light , without sound, for a silent alert at night, or just the sound. In the Sonoff image, the outdoor camera focuses on a person at the door, and the siren inside the house lights up red and sounds. For a more complete system, you can find indoor and outdoor sirens in our catalog, to complement the SNZB-09P and the door and window sensors.

Dual power supply: USB-C 5V and 600mAh backup battery
The siren is powered by a 5V 1A USB-C port with the included 2-meter cable: the USB power supply is not included; a standard 5V power supply will do. Inside, there's a 600mAh lithium battery that recharges itself when the USB port is connected. If the power goes out, the siren seamlessly switches to battery power and remains connected to the hub: in silent mode, it stays online for over 300 days . The ON/OFF button on the bottom only works when the siren is running on battery power, while when the USB port is connected, it remains permanently on. This way, a power outage won't turn off the alarm just when you need it, for example, if someone turns off the power before entering.
Burglar alarm with door sensor: the siren sounds when it opens
With a door and window sensor, the siren becomes a small burglar alarm. In the Sonoff example, the Sonoff SNZB-04PR1 door sensor detects the opening of the front door, and the SNZB-09P triggers a loud alarm: anyone entering is deterred, and you immediately know something is wrong. The same applies with the SenseGuard SNZB-04PR2 sensor or a motion sensor. The scene is created in the eWeLink app with the Zigbee hub and activated only when needed, such as when you leave the house or at night, choosing the tone, volume, and duration of the alarm.

Water leak and fall alarm with button and sensor
The siren also helps outside of the burglar alarm. If an elderly person lives in the home, the Sonoff SNZB-01P button becomes an emergency button: press it after a fall and the siren alerts those in other rooms. In the bathroom, kitchen, or laundry room, the SNZB-05P water leak sensor detects water on the floor and the siren sounds a loud warning, audible even in the bedroom at night. This way, you can intervene before the water reaches under the furniture or downstairs, and you can choose a different tone for each event.

Reminders for laundry, mail, visitors, and open doors
With its low volume and discreet tone, the siren becomes a reminder for your home. The Sonoff MINI-ZB1GSP module measures your washing machine's power consumption and, when power drops at the end of the cycle, the siren alerts you. The SNZB-03PR2 sensor notifies you of the arrival of mail, the Sonoff AirGuard CO2 monitor SAWF-08P alerts you when air levels exceed limits, the SNZB-01P button acts as a doorbell for those arriving, and the SNZB-04PR2 sensor reminds you if the refrigerator or door has been left open for more than a minute. Each reminder has its own tone.

Home Assistant and Zigbee2MQTT with Sonoff Zigbee dongles
The siren is a Zigbee 3.0 device: in addition to Sonoff hubs, it works with Home Assistant via a Zigbee dongle, such as the Sonoff Dongle Plus MG24 . In Zigbee2MQTT, version 2.12.1 or later is required: with earlier versions the siren may not connect or not display all the functions. Native support in ZHA is not yet complete: some functions are not available immediately and Sonoff provides a configuration script in its Help Center, which also applies to SmartThings. From Home Assistant, you can control the siren, light, tone, volume and duration, and read the battery, power type and tamper information.

Compatible with Bridge Pro, Bridge Ultra, NSPanel Pro and iHost
To use the siren with the eWeLink app, you need a Sonoff Zigbee hub : the Zigbee Bridge Pro , the Zigbee Bridge Ultra , the NSPanel Pro , or the iHost . With eWeLink , you have all the functions, including OTA firmware updates. With a Sonoff dongle, namely Dongle Plus MG24, Dongle Max, ZBDongle-E , ZBDongle-P, or Dongle Lite MG21, you can use it in ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT; with the Aeotec SmartThings hub (V3) in SmartThings, with the limitations indicated in the table. The Zigbee signal reaches up to 100 meters in open fields; indoors, walls and attics reduce the range. With the Sonoff hub, the siren can also be used with Amazon Alexa and Google Home , and with a Sonoff hub equipped with a Matter Bridge, it enters the Matter ecosystems, such as Apple Home.
