Know immediately if a door or window opens: the Sonoff SNZB-04PR1 Zigbee sensor tells you on your phone
The Sonoff SNZB-04PR1 is a Zigbee door/window sensor that alerts you on the eWeLink app every time a door opens or closes. You attach it with the included 3M double -sided tape, wirelessly and without screws: the sensor on the frame, the magnet on the door, and in a few minutes it's ready. From that moment on, it does two jobs. The first is security : if someone opens the door while you're away, you receive a notification , and if someone tries to detach the sensor, the tamper alarm goes off. The second is automation : the entryway light turns on when you return, the thermostat stops if you open the window, and the open garage triggers a scene. The included CR2477 battery lasts over 5 years . It connects to a Sonoff Zigbee hub like iHost , NSPanel Pro , or ZBBridge, sold separately. From there, the scenes can also run locally , with or without the Internet.
If someone enters at night you will know immediately: notification, alarm on the NSPanel Pro and camera that records
At night, or when the house is empty, the sensor becomes a silent alarm . When the door is opened, a notification arrives on your phone, wherever you are. If you have an NSPanel Pro , you can have it sound an audible alarm at home. If you have a Sonoff camera , a scene will trigger it and send you an alert with the recording. And if the burglar tries to detach the sensor from the frame, the tamper protection will send a second alarm. All of this runs on the hub , so it works even if your internet has been cut off.
Sonoff NSPanel Pro
Control panel with Zigbee hub: sounds the alarm when the door opens.
Sonoff Camera
A scene starts recording and sends you the alert.
The scenes run on the hub, inside the house: the light turns off even if the Wi-Fi or Internet is down
Local scenes are the difference between a sensor that always works and one that only works when the network is available. The "door open, turn off the light" rule is saved on the Sonoff Zigbee hub , not on a distant server. The sensor sends the signal, the hub forwards it to the Zigbee switch , and the light changes status. This happens in your home, in a fraction of a second, with Wi-Fi off or the internet down. You need a ZBBridge-P, NSPanel Pro, or iHost ; only notifications on your phone, when you're away, require network connectivity.
Sonoff Zigbee Hub
ZBBridge-P, NSPanel Pro or iHost: this is where the local scene takes place.
Sonoff Zigbee Switch
Receives the command from the hub and turns off the light.
Mailbox, garage, refrigerator: where a door/window sensor really comes in handy
Not just doors and windows. Receive a notification on your mailbox as soon as something arrives, without having to go down to check. On your garage door, trigger a scene when it opens: garage and driveway lights on, camera recording. On your refrigerator, it alerts you if the door has been left ajar, before the food heats up. It's also great for drawers , medicine cabinets, gates, and cellar windows: anywhere something opens and you want to know. The magnet is small and sticks with double-sided tape, even to metal.
Tamper alarm: if someone unplugs the sensor or opens the safe, the alert arrives immediately
On the back of the sensor is a tamper-proof button that stays pressed as long as the body is attached to the frame. If someone detaches it, the button is released and a tamper alert appears in the app, with the date and time. This is the protection that simpler sensors lack: a thief can't remove it without being noticed. You'll need the same alert at home, on the safe , or in the medicine cabinet, when a child gets into a place they shouldn't. Works with ZBBridge-P, NSPanel Pro , and iHost .
Door left open? You choose how many minutes after which you'd like to receive a notification on your phone.
With a Sonoff Zigbee hub, you can set a timeout in eWeLink : if the door stays open longer than that time, you'll get an alert. This is useful when you're rushing out and can't remember whether you closed the door or not. It's useful when a child in the house reaches for the doorknob, or when a forgotten window lets the heat escape in the winter. It's useful for a safe , if it stays open longer than it should. The same rule applies in reverse, to find out if a door stays closed longer than usual. The timeout can be changed from the app at any time, differently for each sensor.
Over 5 years on a single CR2477 battery included: fit it and forget it, the app alerts you when it's low
The CR2477 is a large button battery, with much more capacity than the standard CR2032, and the Zigbee chip consumes very little power. The result is over 5 years of battery life, calculated with 50 door openings per day at room temperature. With different usage, the battery life varies, but it's still years. When the battery is nearing its end, a low battery notification appears on the app. Replacing the battery is done manually by opening the back cover, without tools. The battery is included and already installed: remove the plastic tab and the sensor turns on.
The light turns on automatically when you open the door: the simplest automation to start with
It's the scene everyone sets up first, and it works that same evening. You pair the sensor with a Zigbee bulb or a Sonoff smart switch and create the rule in eWeLink : if the door opens, turn it on . When you return with your groceries, the entryway light is already on, and a timer turns it off after a few minutes. The same principle applies to the closet, cellar, or hallway at night. The Sonoff Zigbee switches and the Zigbee hubs needed to connect them are available in the catalog.

Even with Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings: via eWeLink the sensor enters the assistants' routines
With the hub connected to the eWeLink cloud, the sensor's status also reaches Amazon Alexa , Google Home , SmartThings , and IFTTT . You can ask by voice if the door is open, or create a routine . When it opens, the speaker announces that the kitchen light has turned on. With Echo devices with a built-in Zigbee hub, like the 4th generation Echo, the sensor also pairs directly. These functions are transmitted via the internet: home scenes remain on the hub.
With Home Assistant via Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA: status, history and battery on your server, without cloud
If you use Home Assistant , the sensor pairs with a Zigbee dongle like the ZBDongle-E or ZBDongle-P , via Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA . From there, you can see the open/closed status, the opening history , the battery percentage , and, with Zigbee2MQTT, the tamper alert. All on your server, without going through a cloud. You can write automations in Home Assistant, with the same freedom as eWeLink scenes. For Sonoff users, there's also iHost , which acts as a local hub and brings the sensor into Home Assistant.
Which hub to choose: with ZBBridge-P, ZBBridge-U, NSPanel Pro and iHost you have all the functions of the sensor
The sensor speaks Zigbee 3.0 and must be paired with a hub , which is not included. The open/closed status comes with all of them. The additional functions are tamper-proof , door left open warning, local scenes and OTA updates. You have them in full with ZBBridge-P , ZBBridge-U , NSPanel Pro and iHost , and with Zigbee2MQTT on Home Assistant. With the first ZBBridge you only receive status and history; with SmartThings the open door warning is missing; with Alexa live only the status is guaranteed. Sonoff Zigbee hubs are in the catalog.

Mounts in two minutes: 3M double-sided tape, aligned magnet and less than 20 mm gap with the door closed
No wires or screws. Clean the frame, peel off the 3M double-sided tape, and press the sensor. The magnet goes on the door, with the reference line aligned with that of the sensor. When the door is closed, the distance between the two must remain under 20 mm . It works on almost all doors and windows, even aluminum or PVC. It can be mounted at a height of up to 2 meters , indoors. Two adhesives are included in the package, so you can move it once without buying anything else.

How to connect it to the eWeLink app: Take off the tab, the LED flashes, and the hub finds it in 3 minutes
Remove the battery tab: the LED flashes slowly and the sensor remains paired for 3 minutes . In the eWeLink app, choose your hub, tap "add device" and scan the QR code on the quick start guide, or let the hub find it automatically. The LED will stay on for 3 seconds to confirm pairing. If the time runs out, hold down the button for 5 seconds and it will restart. Two quick flashes mean it's online; if it flashes slowly for 30 seconds, move it closer to the hub.
Yes. The sensor does not talk directly to your phone: it must be paired with a Sonoff Zigbee hub (iHost, NSPanel Pro, ZBBridge, ZBDongle) or another Zigbee 3.0 gateway, sold separately.
Yes. With a Sonoff hub, scenes between Zigbee devices run locally and continue to function if Wi-Fi or the network goes down. Notifications on your phone, however, require an internet connection.
The 04PR2 is the slim, bar-shaped version with two AAA batteries, up to 3 years of battery life, and a removable magnet. The PR1 is more compact and lasts over 5 years on a single battery.
