Configure Your LED Strip Down to the Finest Detail with Tuya Smart and Smart Life
Using the Tuya Smart and Smart Life apps, you can configure the WT-SPI-P to match the specific characteristics of the connected LED strip. The app allows you to select the chip type, R/G/B/W/C color sequence, and pixel count , with a configurable length from 10 to 1,000 light points. This ensures colors, animations, and segments are synchronized correctly with the strip used, allowing the same controller to be adapted to numerous different SPI LED installations.
Control your lighting with your voice using Alexa and Google Assistant
Integrate the WT-SPI-P controller into your smart home and manage your lighting via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant . Supported voice commands allow you to access key functions without having to use your smartphone each time, making it easier to manage LED strips installed throughout your home. Voice control complements the Tuya app, optional RF remote control, and wired buttons, offering multiple ways to use them based on your needs.
One Controller for Multiple SPI Addressable LED Strips
The WT-SPI-P is designed to offer high compatibility with the world of digital lighting and supports SPI White, RGB, RGBW and RGBCCT LED strips. A total of 53 chip types are compatible, including popular families such as WS2811, WS2812, WS2813, WS2815, SK6812, TM1809, WS2801 and WS2805. From the app you can also configure the correct color sequence, making the controller suitable for different LED architectures without being tied to a single strip type.

Flexible Connections Also for LED Installations with Loads Greater than 5A
The WT-SPI-P operates on a constant voltage power supply from 5 to 24V DC and features a TTL SPI digital output for controlling the addressable strip. For installations with current draw up to 5A, the connection can follow the standard scheme. When the LED load exceeds this value, the strip can be powered separately by maintaining the common ground and connecting the provided DATA/CLK signal lines to the controller. The dedicated inputs also allow you to add external buttons for on/off and local adjustment.
LED Effects That Follow the Rhythm of Music
Create an even more immersive atmosphere using the Music Rhythm features available in the app. The WT-SPI-P can react with colors and lighting effects to the rhythm of music detected through your smartphone's microphone , turning the LED strips into a dynamic element for parties, gaming rooms, multimedia centers, and living areas. Different music modes are available, and the sound sensitivity can be adjusted to adapt the lighting response to the environment.
App, Voice Control, and RF: Choose How to Manage Your Lighting
The WT-SPI-P offers multiple control options to easily adapt to everyday use. You can manage the LED strips via Tuya Smart or Smart Life , use voice commands compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, or pair an optional 2.4 GHz SPI RF remote control for instant local control. Wired button inputs also add to these options, making the controller flexible for both smart installations and configurations requiring traditional physical controls.
Create Custom Atmospheres for Every Room
Addressable LED strips controlled by the WT-SPI-P can be used to create completely different decorative lighting effects depending on the environment. You can enhance a TV wall with colorful effects, create a more immersive gaming station, add ambient lighting to the living room, or create soft, personalized lighting in the bedroom. Thanks to the ability to manage colors, segments, brightness, and animations, you can quickly change the atmosphere without changing the installation, adapting the lighting to different daily activities.
Colors, Segments, Scenes and Animations: Customize Every Effect from the App
The Tuya interface provides advanced tools to truly exploit the possibilities of addressable LED strips . You can adjust color, saturation, brightness and color temperature on compatible configurations, choose multicolor combinations and intervene on individual segments using functions such as Color Fill, Color Pen and Eraser . The controller also has 44 predefined dynamic scenarios and over 10 customizable scenes , with effects such as fade, breath, flash, flow, rainbow and chasing light, adjusting speed, direction, colors and brightness to create ever-changing lighting scenarios.
The WT-SPI-P is designed for digital addressable LED strips with SPI signals and supports White, RGB, RGBW, and RGBCCT configurations. Before purchasing, it is important to check that the chip on the strip is compatible with the controller.
An addressable LED strip uses digital chips that allow you to control pixels or segments of the strip independently, creating dynamic effects and multicolor combinations. The WT-SPI-P is therefore primarily designed for SPI pixel LEDs , not for a simple traditional analog RGB strip.
It can be used with strips commercially referred to as RGBIC when they use a compatible SPI chip . The RGBIC abbreviation alone does not determine compatibility: you need to check the chip model and the strip's power supply voltage.
The controller supports 53 chip types , including popular families such as WS2811, WS2812, WS2813, WS2815, SK6812, TM1809, WS2801, WS2805, UCS, LPD, SM and others listed in the technical documentation.
Yes. The app allows you to modify the strip segments using color fill functions, individual section coloring, and selective switching off, allowing you to create multicolored effects along the same installation.
Running mode allows you to create dynamic lighting effects in which colors and animations move along the pixels of the LED strip, taking advantage of individual segment control. Depending on the selected scenario, you can use effects such as Flow, Chasing Light, Shooting Star, Rainbow, and Shuttle , adjusting the speed, brightness, and direction of movement forward or backward . To achieve correct animation, it is important to configure the actual number of pixels of the connected strip in the app.
